Twas the night before Christmas
and inside our home.....
Pajamas were opened and
in the hopes they'd keep warm.
Cookies were left for the Big Guy and his deer,
they had lots of sprinkles and some added Christmas cheer!
Notes were left by the girlies, their wants not too many,
yet mom and dad knew they would cost Santa lots of pennies:)
Then, the awaited morning had arrived-alas not much time to enjoy....
Since church was at 8 and we had to deploy.
"Hurry and open your Santa gifts" said Mama,
"Get your dresses on-you can't wear your pajamas."
So a quick little peak was had by all
their piles looked like a store in the mall.
But Christ is why we celebrate this season
so off to church we went-even though it was freezin'!
After remembering our Savior, it was home that we went
and soon our floor was covered-
in wrappings that were spent.
Some dollies, some blankets, a DS and good books,
A toolbox, a drill and of course lots of trucks!
Big thank you's to mom and to dad they did give
It was nice to have smiles on the face of our kids :)
It's been a tough year, we haven't forgotten
but blessed we sure are-sometimes spoiled rotten.
Our family is safe-even closer I'd say
Thank you Dear Father for each and every day!!!
